there are fictional characters you like
there are some you love
and then there are some that you literally spend hours and hours thinking about all of the things that happened to them or could happen to them and their motivations and the futures they had stolen from them and what it does to them every single day and you scour the minutiae of their characterization because you want to know them like you know yourself
and maybe it’s because they’re what you have the potential to be or they’ve gone through something like you have or you have nothing in common but it doesn’t matter because you love them so much you feel like you’re drowning in it because they’re fictionaland you can’t help them no matter how much you want
yeah, then there’s them.
AU where Dean and Sam are private detectives and Cas hires them to look for his father against his brother Gabriel’s advice and it turns out that their dad is on the run from the fallen angels gang which is headed up by their estranged brother lucifer. Through a series of mishaps Dean and Sam fall into the seedy underworld while trying to protect their clients and ignore whatever feelings they’ve developed for the rich brothers who’ve hired them.
hi hey hello like even though sam is legit dean’s brother, if you don’t think for a second dean said ‘let it go, brother’ because of prolonged exposure to a certain vampirate i am going to have to strongly disagree
Can we think about how Dean is gonna be pissed at Cas when he finds him again
“Why didn’t you come, Cas? Why didn’t you answer me?”
and Cas is just gonna look at him and Dean’s gonna realize that ALL the angels have fallen, all of them. And Sam just pulls Cas in for that long awaited hug and Cas sags against him because he can’t do anything else after he walked to find them. He can’t hear the other angels because there aren’t any. He can’t feel his Grace because it’s gone. But he can feel Sam, all 6’4” of him and Dean just stares and then turns away because what if this Cas becomes the other 2013 Cas?
And they stand there, on the edge of whatever town was closest to that old church and watch the last of the angels fall.
So I know there are posts all over about this girl asking the question at the Jared and Jensen panel and I just want to say that some of them are completely inaccurate and obviously not written by people here.
The facts are that the girl, very politely, asked a question regarding Dean’s bisexuality (which as a rule is something you don’t bring up, it makes the actors uncomfortable. Period.) and the crowd reacted poorly as well. No one was reacting to her saying she was bisexual, a vast majority of this fandom, myself included, identify as such.
Jensen wasn’t a dick about it. How many times has he gotten the same question? How many times has the fandom said that he’s uncomfortable answering questions like that? What he said was “Wow, first question?” And you know what I was thinking? THE SAME EXACT THING. You have to respect the actors. They are people and its been made clear OVER AND OVER that he doesn’t want to answer those questions. Jensen wasn’t a dick. He’s not homophobic. He wasn’t rude.
Furthermore, the crowd didn’t boo. We let out a collective groan, that’s it.
The girl apologized and the panel went on. Game over. If you weren’t there, stop spreading shit around get the fucking facts. The actors are people, we’re people. We are the same. The shit Jensen does for us far outweighs the flamebaiting corners of the SPN fandom.
“I’d do what they normally do. I’d take Jensen’s body and make out with Jared.”
Finishing up the two shirts for NJCon. The blue is the front of Ashley’s dean shirt (I posted the back yesterday) and the white is my Benny shirt. I’m gonna add something to the front of the Benny one, but I’m not sure what.
He’s tired. Tired of watching humanity walk him by, tired of being so hungry all the time, tired of being alone. So tired.
He fought his way through purgatory next to a human and an angel, escaped the inescapable, saw the love of his life turned into a monster and then watched her die, met his granddaughter and saved her from a lunatic and lost her all over again.
He doesn’t fit here, like a—a vampire peg in a human shaped whole. He wants to go back where the other monsters dwell, where he knows how everything goes. Home.
So he laughs when Dean hesitates. Looks down at his salvation, his emerald slippers, and laughs.
okay so just let me feels:
how many people does dean trust to take care of sammy. how many? he can count them on one hand. hell, he can count them on on two fingers: bobby and cas.
but he trusts benny. he calls benny to save sam, not just because benny can get into purgatory but because he trusts benny with sam’s life. there is literally nothing bigger to dean than trusting his brother’s life to someone. nothing.
and benny knew, he obviously knew he wasn’t going to be coming back. he accepted it and doesn’t that just sound like someone we know? benny and dean and cas, all willing to lay down and die—willing to risk everything just because they don’t deserve anything else. How much do you want to bet that dean knew, deep down, that benny wasn’t coming back. it was a suicide mission and benny went with a smile on his face.
i hate this show
my only emotion right now is Benny
Little girl, hold on and wait
It’s not fair, but fairness is overrated.
Wait, and you will be saved
The path, it walks him this way.
